Monthly Meeting Minutes March 16, 2017
17 members and guests were present
The regular monthly meeting of the east hills business association was called to order by president Missy Grose. Missy announced all officers who were present, treasurer Lynne Faint was not present. Missy also thanked GJCTC for hosting our luncheon.
Vice president Ed Porada introduced this month’s speaker John Augustine from GJCTC who spoke all about GJCTC and what programs they have to offer and what upcoming programs are being offered. It was a very informative session.
Approval of February minutes:
Motion by Melissa and Kim Oleska 2nd motion to approve minutes.
The First Commonwealth Bank account balance was reported $1,900.02
All members agreed to try to invite more members to our luncheons. We decided that they need to register online before coming to luncheon. A list of paid memberships were also distributed for everyone to see. The discussion of the business cards to hand to new members was discussed. Frank Duca is working on having them printed and being able to distribute to current members for them to invite new members.
Discussion about changing the website was also discussed. The website needs to be updated and a suggestion about changing the Link for each company on the website so that when you click on the link, it takes you to the companies website. The phone number also needs to be changed on the website, discussion to delete phone number was approved. Missy announced that the Chamber of Commerce would like to do more with us as a group. The Chamber discussed with Missy that they would like to help us in any way to see our group succeed. Barb Fortunato spoke about possibly having an event so that we can accrue more members.
Next Month’s meeting:
April’s luncheon was discussed, Bella Sicilia needed to be confirmed.
Next month’s free lunch winner:
The free lunch was won by our Membership Relations Coordinator Melinda Novak.
The 50/50 was $8.00 and won by Johanna Blough from Naugle Insurance.
Motion to Adjourn the Meeting was made by Melinda Novak and Kim Volk.
