The regular monthly meeting of the East Hills Business Association was called to order. Pledge of Allegiance was not said.
October’s minutes were reviewed.
The Treasurer Lynn Faint was not present therefore a balance was not reported for the checking account.
Other meeting places will be explored in 2016.
The January meeting will be held Thursday January 21 at Noon . Location is GJCTC.
The Chrstmas party will be held Dec. 17th at Jake’s Pub in the Galleria 6:30-8:30. There will be an optional white elephant gift exchange. Value is up to $20.00. A RSVP link will be emailed . Please advise if you are bringing a guest. Cost is $5/member, $5/guest.

Barb Fortunato will represent EHBA at the Greater Johnstown Chamber of Commerce.
Two hundred dollars was donated to United Methodist Human Services’ Project Shoes. UMHS teams up with area schools and youth agencies to provide shoes and boots to children in need.
John Augustine Direct of Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center was the guest speaker. He discussed the Center’s purpose and various degrees/certifications available. Welding and CDL are careers that will offer training within a 6 month period. Local business are encourage to sit on the Occupational Advisory Committee’s board. GJCTC is also looking for local businesses that are interested in mentoring a student. The center will pay to have any necessary clearances needed. Students attending GJCTC can also earn 15 college credits for the Associate of Applied Science in Technology Management at PHCC. Finally, GJCTC runs the Spartan Restaurant Wednesdays from 3:30-7:30. Anyone is welcome to eat there.
